It's been a scrapbooking weekend, as I'm furiously trying to get caught up before my bridal shower in two weeks. I'd love to bring along my up-to-date book to show my friends and family. Which of course got me thinking about "why?" Why do I scrapbook? Why do I find it meaningful, important, and super fun?
Found this post on Jessica Sprague's website that I love, love, love... especially a quote she shared from Anais Nin: We write to taste life twice. Once in the moment and once in retrospection. I think that's a big part of why I scrapbook, to relive the moments big and small.
Above all else, it is about leaving a mark that I existed. I was there. I was hungry. I was defeated. I was happy. I was sad. I was in love. I was afraid. I was hopeful. I had an idea and I had a good purpose and that's why I made works of art."
